• LBC was planted in November 2025 as a new congregation in Lukomera, Luwero District. Born out of a desire to meet the spiritual needs of the community, the church stands as a beacon of hope, calling people to worship Christ and grow as His disciples.

  • Doctrinal Statement of Faith

  • Lukomera is located between two major towns and is home to a sizable population. This community hosts all kinds of people, but it is also marked by troubling realities such as robbery, drunkenness, witchcraft, sexual immorality, drug addiction, and child abuse. These behaviors reveal a deep spiritual need, and only a Gospel-centered church can bring true hope to the people of Lukomera. Christ’s command in Matthew 28:16–20 calls us to reach out to all people with the Gospel.

    Confronting False Teachings

    Another pressing challenge in Lukomera is the prevalence of false teachings. The area is filled with churches and religions that distort the truth of Jesus Christ. The region is predominantly Muslim, but also includes Pentecostals, Catholics, and Anglicans. These groups often present confusing versions of Jesus:

    • A Jesus who promises but never delivers (Pentecostalism)

    • A Jesus who does not save but requires good works (Catholicism)

    • A Jesus who failed to die for sin (Islam)

    • An Anglican tradition that knows some truths but does not consistently live by them

    Such distortions make it easy for people to be misled about the true Gospel.

    The Great Need

    Because of these realities - sinful behaviors and widespread false teachings - there is a great need for a Gospel-centered church in Lukomera. Only such a church can faithfully proclaim the true Jesus Christ, who saves, delivers, and transforms lives.
